چکیده

Background To ensure accurate implant placement, surgical guides are used to control the steps of placement surgery. Purpose Evaluation accuracy in long span edentulous area by novice clinicians according fully-guided (FG), pilot-guided (PG), and freehand (FH) protocols. Materials methods Maxillary models with four missing teeth from right first canine molar were produced 3-dimensional printing. Fourteen new dentistry participated study, each one them inserted for every protocol. All completed phantom heads simulate clinical situation. evaluate accuracy, vertical, horizontal platform, apex, angle, interimplant distance deviations planned positions calculated. Results With exception vertical deviation, FG was clearly more than PG FH placements all variables implants. The significantly platform apex deviations, deviation. did not show a significant impact location implant, or apex. showed increased deviation at implants Conclusions Within limitations this vitro achieved position followed respectively. Therefore, form guided surgery is beneficial clinicians.

Accuracy of a computerized tomography-guided template-assisted implant placement system: an in vitro study.

OBJECTIVES To evaluate the accuracy of computer-assisted 3D planning and implant insertion using computerized tomography (CT). MATERIALS AND METHODS Nine implants were planned on pre-operative CTs of six resin models, which were acquired with radiographic templates, using a planning software (E implants). Each resin model contained three pre-existing control implants (C implants). Radiographi...
